Anne is a relative newcomer to stand up. A mum of two with weight and age issues, she was persuaded to try the open mic nights in pubs around Brisbane, after entertaining friends at a BBQ in 2007. Within six weeks she was offered her first paid gig and has had regular gigs since then. She was a finalist in the Queensland Raw Comedy 2008, coming fourth after judges decided she was "too rude" to take on to the national final in Melbourne.
In 2009 Anne was the first woman to win the prestigious Green Faces grand final comedy competition, and has since gone on to support Bev Killick, Puppetry of the Penis and has performed to an audience of men at Allan (Alfie) Langer’s Restaurant in Queensland. Anne also works as the tour manager for "The K Factor”, MCing and working alongside Tommy Rodonikis and Arthur Beatson in their "Birth of Origin" show.
"I’ve always loved filthy jokes and talking about subjects that other people are thinking but won’t say".
Anne's trade mark pearl necklace and ensures people know she is a lady, regardless of her sometimes "risqué" material. She struggles to be accepted in a hypocritical world where quiet girls get all the respect and loud opinionated women are vilified.
"Anne is larger than life, and a total scream from the moment she steps on stage." Bev Killick
"One of the Best support acts we have ever had on." Puppetry of the Penis
"Anne smashed it on stage..." Tommy Rodonikus
“what can i say.........BRILLIANT." Allan (Alfie) Langer
