Damien started stand up about six years ago after being involved with Theatre Sports and thinking, yeh, stand up looks like the most difficult thing to do right now.
Once he started he became addicted to the pain of it and kept performing religiously.
Damien has also done quite a bit of acting training; and was accepted into an exclusive three year course only to complete the first year due to the birth of his son.
He kinda figured a full time acting student isn’t the most stable of careers for a new family man, and wasn’t even an actor out of work, he was studying to be an actor out of work. But all that training helped his stand up and the understanding of performing arts.
These days Damien is constantly experimenting with what is possible and trying to develop the most unique and interesting stand up he can.
Damien was a RAW comedy finalist, had a sold out season at the Brisbane Comedy Festival and has been a finalist in other comedy competitions but who really cares.
