Shelly Plunkett was cruelly forced into Stand Up Comedy in 1998 in Cairns thanks to the local MC. Shelly being the quirky and loved bar attendant of the venue...her manager thought it would be a great idea to call for security and physically toss her on stage in front of 400 rowdy Queenslanders. They loved her!
Some six months later she moved to Brisbane to pursue her newfound path in life...Stand Up Comedy. Working as the most regular gal on the scene in Brisbane, Shelly had quite a following over her 10 years. Through word of mouth, people became eager to find out what this woman was all about.
Shelly then toured throughout Australia as Steady Eddy’s' regular MC, pulling the big crowds in the finest venues through to the tiny outback towns they personally named "Shitsville" & meeting some of the best local nutters ever!
