Amos Gill is one of the hottest young comedians in the country, dividing his time between stand up, radio, TV hosting and acting. Amos appeared on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF) ABC Allstars Comedy Gala in 2017 and has been featured on ABC2’s Comedy Up Late, and the Comedy Channel’s Just For Laughs. Amos was well known for his position on the Amos, Cat & Angus show on Hit107 where, until recently, his voice could be heard every morning. After four years as full-time breaky host on the flagship station for Australia’s biggest broadcaster, Southern Cross Austereo, Amos announced in 2018 that he was giving up breakfast radio’s notorious 4am rises for good, and heading to the USA to crack a comedy scene in which he has already carved out a name for himself.
After an impressive appearance as finalist in triple j’s national RAW Comedy competition, Amos went on to earn a nomination for the ‘Best Emerging Comedian’ and ‘People’s Choice’ awards at the 2013 Adelaide Fringe for his solo show You’ve Changed. MICF 2013 saw Amos hand-selected by one of the festival directors to host the prestigious Comedy Zone; showcasing four of Australia’s best new comedians. And in 2014 he was once again honoured by MICF with a ‘Best Newcomer’ nomination.
He has appeared on SBS’s The Full Brazilian and in a starring role for Fox Footy sitcom Four Quarters. In 2013 he hosted Wacky World Beaters for ABC3, and is regularly seen touring all the top comedy rooms and festivals in Australia and the USA.
