Kate Rudge

Kate Rudge has managed successfully to reach her thirties despite having the look and demeanour of someone who permanently thinks they’ve left the oven on.

Easily distracted by a toyshop mind for everyday detail, hanging out with Kate was once described as ‘like walking down the high street with a caveman who’s recently been thawed.’

Arriving in Australia in 2006 in search of a better life, Kate ended up in banana farming and stand up comedy, learning the hard way that all that glitters is probably just a bit sticky.

Kate has been sharing her observations on the tiaras and tax returns of life round the Brisbane open mic scene since 2010.  She was selected for the Queensland round of the Green Faces Comedy Competition in 2011; and was a State Finalist in the Triple J Raw Comedy Competition for NSW – a state she doesn’t actually live in. I told you she was easily distracted.
