Fresh from sold out shows at the 2018 Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Kel Balnaves is a skilled MC and headline performer touring throughout Australia and is a regular guest comedian onboard P&O Cruise ships. Beginning his career in 2006 Kel has has since supported the likes of Fiona O’Loughlin, Lawrence Mooney, Dave Hughes and Tom Gleeson.
Kel has written and performed 7 festival solo shows and completed four solo seasons at the Melbourne Comedy Festival. In 2013 Kel won the Best Emerging Artist Award at the Adelaide Fringe Festival and has been twice nominated for Best Comedy at Fringe World.
In 2016 Kel won Adelaide Comedy’s Comedian Of The Year award and followed it up by winning the Best Host award in 2017.
In addition to standup Kel is a talented comedic actor. He has starred in two hit musical comedies: Wolf Creek: The Musical and The Sound of Nazis and Is the co-writer and creator of the madcap sketch comedy show ‘The Wudidonga Arts Revue.’
