Tien Tran is an up and coming comedian that was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF) for his debut show “If you don’t know, now you know”. The previous year he was hand picked by the MICF to be apart of “Comedy Zone”, a prestigious showcase of five rising comedy talents from around the country.
Tien’s style of insightful social commentary and absurdist comedy logic has allowed him to perform at Sydney’s Homebake Music festival and opened up for US acts such as Anthony Jeselnik (Comedy Central), Mike Epps (The Hangover) and Dov Davidoff (HBO). Tien was on SBS2’s Stand up at the Bella Union as part of a showcase of 30 comedians from around the country. You might have seen him more recently on the web series “Mychonny Moves In” playing the role of the Prime Minister.
“Tien Tran hit the ground running with a bold, confident delivery… potentially more offensive material packed a real punch, assisted by the fact he performed with such conviction” Chortle

“There’s an endearing quality to his honest, absurd storytelling. It’s part confessional, part social commentary and outlandishly funny”  The West Australian
