Desh in “Bargain” @ The Sit Down Comedy Club

Details

Australian Stand Up Comedian Desh is otherwise known as the mind behind some of the funniest television programs never made. Since wowing audiences as a national finalist in the Triple J Raw competition, Desh has managed to squeeze his rotund frame into just about every TV and radio show in the land featuring as a comic guest, opinion maker and racial stereotype for casting directors from Surrey Hills to Mumbai. There’s not a Comedian in the country who hasn’t worked with Desh and there isn’t an audience member who has said, "Desh who?" before laughing themselves silly.

His diverse sense of humour, self introspection and shredding analysis of societies ills has seen him feature on network television shows such as The NRL Footyshow and Rove as well providing expert commentary for SBS on the Eurovision Song Contest, featuring on their sports themed quiz program, The Squiz and making an appearance on the ABC’s Hungry Beast.   Desh has received critical acclaim for his comedy work from Australian comedy doyen Andrew Denton and recently featured as a guest on the hip underground radio show, A Rational Fear, broadcasted on Sydney’s FBI radio station.

Bargain is a show about stuff, big stuff, little stuff and medium sized stuff.  Stuff that is important and stuff that is not.  There are a lot of things people don’t give a stuff about and none of that stuff is in the show. If anything Bargain gives the opportunity for Desh to knock the stuffing out of few things like: Are Hipster Beards an excuse for a lack of personality; Is Tony Abbott just a bag full of angry cats wrapped in skin;  Why is a bloke called "Armstrong" the world’s greatest cyclist?

Come and join Desh for a night of fun, better still, bring a friend and then talk loudly about it the next day.
