RANDY RETURNS TO BRISBANE FOR A SPECIAL ONE-NIGHT ONLY OPPORTUNISTIC CASH GRAB
Australia’s premier non-human stand up comedian is coming to Brisbane with a fat 60 minutes of zero bullshit entertainment. Fresh from an eight week Off- Broadway season in New York City, Randy is champing at the bit to return to the Sunshine State to tell some jokes and eat some bananas.
In the past fourteen years Randy has given birth to half a dozen critically acclaimed solo shows. He has performed everywhere from Edinburgh to Hong Kong, Galway to Montreal, London to Sydney and almost everywhere in between. Semi-regular television appearances in his native Australia have earned him great respect and an average income. He has won awards, hosted Galas, recorded specials, performed a few times at The Sydney Opera House, released an album and a couple of DVDs, and been nominated for two ARIAs, an AACTA and best comedy at the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe festival.
In 2010 Randy joined forces with underweight musical comedian and ABC political enfant terrible Sammy J to create Ricketts Lane, which won Best Show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and went on to become a television series of the same name. The two have since carved out a reputation as a reliably foolish musical comedy duo with appearances on
Good News Week, Spicks and Specks, Q&A, The Project and The Weekly.
Randy is thrilled to be returning to Brisbane. Speaking at a recent press conference he said “This will be my first solo performance at The Sit Down Comedy Club and I can’t fucking wait. Does the Paddo Tavern do the Vego Parmy without cheese?”
