Yianni: The Simpsons Taught Me Everything I Know

 

After 2015’s Best Comedy nomination and sold out seasons at Perth Fringe World, Perth Comedy Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Sydney Comedy Festival 2016, Yianni Agisilaou (pron. AJ-ISS-A-LOW) is now debuting to Brisbane by popular demand with his show about loving pop culture’s most influential four fingered family, The Simpsons Taught Me Everything I Know for one night only on Sunday 25 September.

 

Originally from Melbourne, London-based Yianni is a regular headliner around the world (40 countries and counting!), renowned for his sharp-edged cultural commentary. 

 

His previous shows have examined topics as varied as quantum physics, how and when jokes become offensive; his experience being diagnosed as mildly autistic at the age of 33.3 (recurring), and booking the largest venue in Edinburgh for his show about ambition. 

 

Now Yianni takes to the Brisbane’s Sit Down Comedy Club to ask: can an obsessive knowledge of the world’s longest running cartoon embiggen one’s understanding or is that unpossible?
