In 1998 -Mickey D burst onto the comedy scene as a 17 year old and made an immediate impact, storming the national finals of JJJ’s raw comedy he was then selected to be part of the “Melbourne Comedy Festival’s” first ever “Comedy Zone” line up. Today Mickey is recognized as a truly International comedian.

Since that early flurry Mickey has taken his comedy to the world. He has performed at 8 Edinburgh fringe festivals and has twice been asked to perform at The Montreal Comedy festival. In fact in 2007 he pulled off the comedy festival grand slam of Montreal, Edinburgh, Melbourne, Auckland & his hometown Adelaide where he picked up the ‘best show’ gong for which he was again short-listed in 2008 and 2009.

Over recent years Mickey has worked the globe with stints in such as far-flung locales as Zagreb, Johannesburg, New York, Amsterdam and Dublin but in 2008 he has set down his roots in Australia where he continues to tour and provide regular segments on Fresh FM and Nova Breakfast in Adelaide and add to his list of TV credits which include the comedychannel, Channel 7 and ABC TV in Australia and in the UK - co host on BBC2’s ‘Comedy Shuffle’ & panelist on ‘Street Cred Soduko on UKTV Gold.’

Mickey is a brilliant comic and amiable host, conquering everything from comedy bear pits to kids festivals. He is the creator, producer and host of Edinburgh’s most popular late night venue the “Phat Cave” and a veteran of the Comedy Festival Roadshow since its inaugural year in 99.
