One of the most popular and easiest ways of raising funds with SDCC is by hosting a fundraising event to one of our public Thursday, Friday or Saturday night shows!

“We had a good time, enjoyed the comedians and really appreciate your support with the fundraising. I will be highly recommending the Sit Down Comedy Club to anyone who wants to have a fundraising event.”
Jodie, Starlight Foundation

“Organising a night at the Sit Down Comedy Club was such an easy way to fundraise and get everyone involved in the cause we are supporting.”
Sacha, Kokada Youth Challenge

Tickets can be made available to your group at a highly discounted rate ($15 on Thursdays; or $25 on Friday or Saturdays), which you can then sell to your supporters for anything up to SDCC’s full ticket price for that show. ALL profits above the initial cost of your tickets then goes towards your fundraising target!

There is no minimum or maximum number of tickets to buy; and you only pay for the tickets you end up selling, so there’s absolutely no risk of your organisation losing money on ticket sales! An example of how it all works is detailed below:

Sally is raising money for her local community netball club. She decides to host a fundraising event at one of SDCC’s existing Thursday night shows, The Mitzi Project.

She contacts SDCC and purchases 50 tickets @ the discounted fundraising rate of $10 per ticket.

Between fundraising launch and show night, Sally sells 40 of the tickets to her supporters @ $25 per ticket (the same price SDCC is selling public tickets to the show)

After the show, SDCC refunds Sally for the 10 tickets she did not sell.

Ticket Sales: $1000 (40 x $25 per ticket)
minus
Cost of Tickets: $500 (50 x $10 per ticket)
plus
Refund of Unsold Tickets: $100 (10 x $10 per ticket)
equals
Total amount raised for charity: $600 (40 x $15 profit per ticket)
