Rob Brown

Many speculate that comedians cultivate their twisted views on reality from a life of hardship. Well Rob Brown is here to say that in his case, by no means is that even remotely wrong. Growing up Rob could have been described as fitting into that group People Of Obscure Resilience or POOR. The great great grandson of immigrants who arrived on these shores with nothing more than an annoying English accent, questionable morals and a propensity for whingeing. From Robs earliest childhood he was forced to witness great suffering and violence until his family could afford curtains in 1978.

Whilst his dance career ended shortly before his birth his sense of humour remains steady. Rob’s comedy has been described as richly satirical, cheeky, and out of the box. Rob denied all this until it was explained to him that’s how rich people say funny.

Rob has done lots and lots of impressive things like all the things you find impressive. Yes those, and that, and even that one thing he himself has a hard time believing he did. TV Radio, CDs, DVDs, yes Rob knows all these words and more. (Not just the word “more”…actually more words.)

Telstra, Woolworths, and AMP have all had Rob at their events and said that they think he is amazing. But you know how big companies lie. However, Rob was once asked if he was funny and the reply made everyone laugh.

With headline performances in Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, UK, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Bali, Papua New Guinea and Prague, just to name a lot, Rob can truly be called an international comedian.
