Accessibility

At the Sit Down Comedy Club, we pride ourselves on being an inclusive venue. We have alternative access and facilities available at the club for those who may have mobility restrictions. When making a booking please let us know your individual needs and we will do our best to accommodate your requirements.

The following is some information we have available to ensure your visit to our venue is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Should you require any further information, feel free to contact the SDCC Box Office on 07 3369 4466.

Booking Information
To enhance your visit and provide you with the best experience possible, we kindly request that you provide us with as much information about your needs as you can at the time of booking. For phone bookings, please let SDCC staff know your requirements. For online bookings, you can enter in information via the prompt that appears as part of the booking process:

Parking
Due to current construction works at The Paddo, onsite parking is unavailable. Street parking is plentiful, however on Suncorp Stadium event days, restrictions apply in the local Lang Park Traffic Area surrounding The Paddo. Fifteen minute parking limits apply in this area from two hours before an event’s ‘Gates Open’ time, through to the conclusion of the event, unless otherwise signed. On-the-spot fines will be issued to offending motorists. The ‘Gates Open’ times for stadium events vary and can be found on the What’s On page on the Suncorp Stadium website.

Club Entry
Entrance to The Sit Down Comedy Club via the main entry on Given Terrace requires the use of a staircase. Should your mobility requirements preclude you from being able to safely navigate stairs, alternative entry to the club is availableUpon arrival at The Paddo, head to the construction zone gate signed ‘Sit Down Comedy Club Accessible Entrance’ (on Campbell St – see below image) and call the number listed on the sign – a staff member will come out and guide you through into the club.

Accessible Seating
The Sit Down Comedy Club has dedicated seating options for patrons using wheelchairs and their guests. Should you require this type of seating or have other seating requirements, please let us know at the time of your booking.

Accessible Toilets
The Sit Down Comedy Club has an accessible toilet located within the main club space of the venue, located near the front desk/box office.

Food and Drink
Our friends at The Paddo look after all beverage service in the club space, with drinks available both before and during shows. Ordering directly from the bar does involve navigating a small staircase, however patrons do not need to access the bar area to place their order – all tables are equipped with QR Codes, so ordering can be done directly from your seat/s! Please Note: While beverages are available in the club, food is unfortunately not available due to the current construction works. If you’re attending a show and you would also like to eat at the venue, we suggest doing so upstairs in The Paddo either before or after your show (see link below for kitchen hours of operation). Reservations for The Paddo Restaurant can be made by calling 07 3369 0044 or visiting https://thepaddo.com.au/dining/. Bookings are essential.

Companion Card
The Sit Down Comedy Club is a registered member of the Queensland Government’s Companion Card program. For persons with a disability and a lifelong need for ‘attendant care support’ to participate in community activities and attend venues, the authorised Companion Card helps with the associated costs of getting out and about with the support of a companion. Companion Card holders receive a second ‘companion’ ticket at no charge. The ‘companion’ ticket is also exempt from booking fees. An official Companion Card must be presented upon request in order to purchase this ticket type from SDCC; & the option is available only by phoning the SDCC Box Office on 07 3369 4466 – it cannot be bought online.

Guide and Assistance Dogs
We welcome patrons accompanied by guide or assistance dogs at The Sit Down Comedy Club. Please notify SDCC at the time of your booking (via either the online booking prompt or over the phone) if you plan to visit The Sit Down Comedy Club with your support dog.
